Since the beginning of the Covid-19 epidemic, our community has seen many challenges. The first half of 2021 has been no exception and at record numbers. To put our services into greater perspective, in March of this year alone, our Food Pantry served 6,927 households- that’s feeding over 865 families each day we are open! Our Saviour Center was chosen to be part of the County Covid-19 Community Equity Fund (CCCEF), which is a partnership between the Center for Strategic Partnerships, Community Partners, and community-based organizations. This collaborative effort aims to address the disproportionate impact of Covid-19 in low-income, historically underserved communities of color through education and providing access to free Covid-19 services. Our focus areas are assisting members of our community in obtaining Covid-19 testing and vaccinations at local community centers and elementary school sites. Throughout the challenges of the pandemic, our unwavering commitment to health and wellness has mobilized to provide the services and programs needed to protect and promote the safety and well-being of everyone in our community.
